Our goal is to provide accurate information. While we make every effort to provide accurate information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all content on this site. Please keep in mind that the information provided is meant to be educational and should not be considered professional advice. At The Education and Resource Program Institute, we educate and provide resources to those who are seeking information about the use of cannabis as medical therapy. We strive to create a supportive environment for patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals to share their experiences and learn from one another. Our mission is to bridge the gap between traditional medicine and cannabis, by offering informative and unbiased information. While we are not medical professionals, we are experienced industry professionals and medical marijuana patients. TERP provides a comprehensive resource on medical marijuana. We believe in supporting the community and providing a platform for patients and their families to access vital information that they need to make informed decisions about their health.

Smoking & Vaping
Quick Relief Medicine
At The Education and Resource Program Institute, we understand that over the counter medications don't always work for everyone or perhaps a natural medicine option is preferred. In certain situations, such as panic attacks, seizures, and extreme pain immediate relief is needed. That's why we suggest smoking or vaping as a more immediate approach for relief. As a charity dedicated to education and resources, TERP offers helpful information on the use of medical marijuana. When smoked or vaped, it can begin circulating in the bloodstream within minutes, providing relief of symptoms. However, a common side effect of euphoria can occur, so we strongly suggest starting with a low dose and increasing slowly to find the appropriate dosage for your needs. Coughing is also a common side effect of this bronchodilator medication, but with our resources, you can learn how to manage it effectively. Contact us today to learn more about our Canna Care and how we can help you stay healthy. It is important to understand that this method of consumption is meant to be used for immediate relief only. Smoking or vaping does not offer enough cannabinoids to be considered a preventative medicine.

Oils
Base Medication
For those in need of serious health treatments, cannabis and hemp oils are often the preferred option. High doses of FECO or RSO is used in Cannachemo. At The Education and Resource Program Institute, we offer assistance in the selection of high-quality oils to meet your needs. When selecting an oil, it's important to choose a full extract oil to get the full range of benefits. Oils should not be processed with naphtha or butane, which contain carcinogens and are difficult to purge from the medicine. Isopropyl alcohol is another solvent that should be avoided as it is not recommended for consumption. Medicinal cannabis oils should be made from high-quality cannabis sativa flowers and leaves, appear thick, and a very dark green or amber in color. We recommend that individuals with THC sensitivity explore a low dose distillate or consider micro dose methods to ensure they can benefit from this medicine without experiencing negative side effects. It is important to note that some users may experience extreme euphoria as a result of consuming this medicine. It has been reported that a choline supplement can diminish this negative effect of euphoria or brain fog. Patients should check with their pharmacist about drug interactions before using any supplement or medicine. TERP believes that using natural and safe treatments can make a significant difference to the lives of those suffering from severe symptoms or conditions. Oils are designed to alleviate symptoms and improve overall health and can be used as a preventive measure as well. That is why oils are considered a base medication. If you have any questions or want to know more about treatment, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Topicals
Transdermal Treatments
The Education and Resource Program Institute is dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals who are experiencing pain and disabilities. Our experience with the benefits of topical applications shows that it significantly improves the self-reported pain levels of many patients. We are committed to providing education and resources to empower individuals struggling with pain to take control of their lives.

Topical applications of cannabis oils, patches, salves, lotions, and other skin-based treatments are a great way to relieve pain and relax muscles. This is not considered a preventative medication but rather a continued treatment for an ailment or condition. We always encourage patients to use sparingly, until they know how they will react, so they can find the best dosage for their needs.

Tinctures
Base Medication
Did you know that tinctures were the predominant form of cannabis medicine until it was criminalized in 1970? Prior to that, most medicinal tinctures contained cannabis sativa. Today, tinctures are considered a rapid onset medicine if used under the tongue. At The Education and Resource Program Institute, we understand the importance of finding the right medicine for your needs. That's why we highly recommend tinctures as a base medicine for new medical marijuana patients. With sublingual ingestion, proper dosage is easily obtained to effectively treat various ailments and conditions. Full spectrum tinctures provide a broad base of cannabinoids and terpenes to ensure the best possible outcome for your specific needs. Tinctures and suspensions are often confused. Tinctures are made with alcohol like Everclear or vegetable glycerin, while suspensions are processed with oils like olive and coconut oil. Both options typically take about 20 minutes to feel the full effect. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to learn more about our treatment options and how they can benefit you. TERP is committed to educating the public about the benefits of cannabis medicine and assisting with knowledge to select safe, high-quality products.

Edibles
Base Medication
At The Education and Resource Program Institute, we believe that alternative medicine has a place in establishing a treatment plan for those who suffer from various conditions. That's why we suggest Canna-infused foods as a long-lasting base dose of medication that is perfect for this purpose. While proper dosing can be more difficult, the results are extremely effective, and many of our patients have seen significant improvements in their conditions. We understand that each person's journey with medicine is unique. That's why, at TERP, we recommend starting with a very small amount and waiting at least an hour for the effects to take place. It's important to note that the effects of this type of medicine are delayed. For this reason, we recommend starting the first time of medicating before bed. While no known case of death has ever been recorded as a side effect of canna-infused products, there are negative effects such as anxiety, paranoia, and racing heart that can occur with too much consumption. To help reduce these effects, we suggest keeping Choline supplements on hand while using this form of medication. As always, consulting your pharmacist about drug interactions is recommended. Our team is available to provide appointments to assist with questions you may have about medicating. If you're looking for an alternative to traditional medicine or incorporating natural medicine, contact us to learn more about Canna-infused foods and how they can help you.
